Calgary Culture newsworthy in Texas

Here's a little bit of Calgary culture news... from Rockwall County, Texas?

There's obviously a lot of economic cross over between us and them, and granted they do mention oil and gas entrepreneurs before they even get to talking about our culture, but I think it's significant that Calgary's cultural district is getting some page time in Texas. I can't think of the last time I heard of international news about Calgary that didn't once mention The Stampede, the tar sands, or the Flames. It's a good sign, we're a few months away from the very short-lived Calgary tourism season and the more Calgary can get some international coverage focusing on culture, the better.

So, if you see a tourist with a Texan accent ambling down Stephen Ave this spring, say hi and give them you art pick of the week.
