Jamie Dunsdon

Jamie Dunsdon
Jamie Dunsdon is an active director, playwright, performer, and arts instructor in Calgary.  She currently teaches for the University of Lethbridge, Evergreen Theatre, and Calgary Young People’s Theatre.  For Verb Theatre, Jamie has directed The Shape of a Girl by Joan Macleod and Bubble Boy: Slide Show by Col Cseke.  Other selected directing credits include: Little Red Riding Beard And Other Rejected Fairy Tales (Wagonstage); Tree Hugger (Urban Curvz: Heroines); Raunch (Downstage: Motel Series); The Year of Falling Down and The Dirty Goddess (Sage Theatre: Ignite!); I Dream of Disney (Downstage: Birds and Stone); and Potentilla (UofC). Jamie recently completed her MFA in Directing at the University of Calgary where she directed the Albertan premiere of Karen Hines’ Hello…Hello in 2008. She also holds a BFA in performance from the University of Lethbridge where she directed Colleen Wagner’s The Monument and Edward Albee’s The Zoo Story.
Col Cseke

Col Cseke
Col Cseke is a local actor and playwright and is proud to be working with Verb Theatre. As a performer/creator Col has been a part of Alberta Theatre Project’s playRites Festival, One Yellow Rabbit’s High Performance Rodeo, Lunchbox Theatre’s Petro-Canada Stage One Festival, and Sage Theatre’s Ignite! Festival. Col is a member of Downstage’s Dog From the Machine performance creation ensemble and has created a number of productions with the ensemble. Over the next year Col will be working with the City of Calgary’s This Is My City initiative creating public art and performances addressing issues regarding Calgary’s homeless population. He is an ensemble member of Tickle Trunk Theatre, a theatre for young audiences company that promotes literacy through the arts. Some of Col’s plays include The Ex-Pats (book and lyric co-author) I Dream of Disney, and Obituary Now (film), amongst others. Col has a B.FA from the University of Lethbridge.

Jessica Robertshaw
Jessica Robertshaw graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2009. Previous stage credits include Heterophobia ( Sage Theatre’s IGNITE! Festival’ 09) The Year of Falling Down (Sage Theatre’s IGNITE! Festival and Theatre Bombus ‘08-’09) Fetish (Calgary Fringe Festival’ 08) Death and Devil (Maple Salsa and Theatre Encounter ‘07), Freak Show (One Yellow Rabbit High Performance Rodeo and Swallow a Bicycle Performance Cooperation ‘07) and The December Project (Swallow a Bicycle ‘06). Other stage credits include Wagonstage (City of Calgary and University of Calgary), Hamlet, Potentilla, Antigone and Oedipus Tyrannos, Lux in Tenebris and The Marriage of Figaro (University of Calgary main stages). She is also an instructor with Calgary Young People’s Theatre.
